I like anything that's well done. Talent is talent.

What kind of music do you "see" me listening to? I'm curious. I'll bet I'd shock you with my preferences.

okay, I'll tell you...symphony....maybe some jazz...anything requiring talent...you don't strike me as the main stream type...

am I way off?

my seven year old niece loves it! but.. i'll be honest I threw the Big and Rich c.d. out the window.. just couldn't take a seven year old singing, 'save a horse ride a cowboy'... but she also loves Little Big town, which was playing in my car today.... and I think I have every Tanya Tucker album ever.. she was actually one of the first vinyl records I ever bought myself...

I have very little patience, so I'll type as many favorites as I can stand to. You're close enough, and I kinda gave it away with the "talent" comment.

Normally, I like anything that can put me in a good mood, and this can range from Jay-Z to Black Eyed Peas to whatever. When I'm listening to listen, though, I like people that have talent. I'm a bit obsessive compulsive, so I've no tolerance for people singing off-key, overly repetitive chords/phrases, etc. I'm a musician, and I demand perfection of myself as well as perfection from those I listen to.

I enjoy R&B for one; songs and singers that make you feel what they're feeling, and understand what they're saying. Music that evokes raw emotion, and can make anyone appreciate it for the wonder that it is. I like artists such as Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, Aaliyah, Usher, and more.

Jazz, Classic music and big band era works, like Wes Montgomery, Django Reinhart, Louis Armstrong, Harry James (one of my favorites, as a trumpet player myself), and so many more. These artists and their music makes you feel great to be alive, and reminds us of the good things in life.

I'll admit, though..I do enjoy the "masters" as well. The great minds of the Baroque era like Mozart, Salieri, Bach, Stravinsky, and others that we all know so well. Truly from another time, but their genius is unquestionable.

Well, actually I thought you liked the symphony before the talent comment but by your saying that, I immediately cancelled out Jessica Simpson

I like your taste in music! Didn't know you were a trumpet player though...cool.

Usher, by my standards, is one of the most talented young artists alive today, in my honest opinion. If someone doesn't like his music, fine, but you can't question his talent.

Yep, about 12 years on the trumpet now. I also have played guitar since I was 4, and piano since 8.
