Hugh Laurie's great, isn't he? I like everything he's done.

Love Hugh Laurie! Gonna watch 'House' in an hour. :) Shame he speaks with an American accent in it though.

I have very little patience, so I'll type as many favorites as I can stand to. You're close enough, and I kinda gave it away with the "talent" comment.

Normally, I like anything that can put me in a good mood, and this can range from Jay-Z to Black Eyed Peas to whatever.

Black Eyed Peas? *sings 'My Humps* Thought you said you like musicians with talent... ;)

I enjoy R&B for one; songs and singers that make you feel what they're feeling, and understand what they're saying. Music that evokes raw emotion, and can make anyone appreciate it for the wonder that it is. I like artists such as Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, Aaliyah, Usher, and more.

I like R&B as well. Good to dance too.

Jazz, Classic music and big band era works, like Wes Montgomery, Django Reinhart, Louis Armstrong, Harry James (one of my favorites, as a trumpet player myself), and so many more. These artists and their music makes you feel great to be alive, and reminds us of the good things in life.

I feel so uneducated. I only knew of Louis Armstrong of the ones mentione.

I'll admit, though..I do enjoy the "masters" as well. The great minds of the Baroque era like Mozart, Salieri, Bach, Stravinsky, and others that we all know so well. Truly from another time, but their genius is unquestionable.

Ah, classical music. I don't listen to it really, but I enjoy playing it.

Usher, by my standards, is one of the most talented young artists alive today, in my honest opinion. If someone doesn't like his music, fine, but you can't question his talent.

My ex introduced me to Usher mainly 'cos he liked his dancing. Yep, that guy sure is talented. He sure has the moves as well... I love to watch him dance.

Yep, about 12 years on the trumpet now. I also have played guitar since I was 4, and piano since 8.

Piano since I was 6, guitar between 14-19 y/o. :)

heavy sigh...I know...I just have this NEED to respond when spoken to (and sometimes not when spoken too ;) ).....

You're like me! I saw I had 480 posts in the 'Abandon' thread. Gosh. No wonder my post count sky rocketed!!

I love playing classical too...my favorite piece is Beethoven's "Pathetique"....I love lots of others, but that one moves me...

It's funny how so many piano players also play guitar...you don't see it in the reverse too much though....

I'm not good at the guitar at all. Just know the basics. A shame really. I might played more if my damn guitar ddin't have a fault that makes it really hard to push down the metal strings. Bah. My fingers would hurt like hell.

I think that as I have long fingers I'm decently suited for guitar playing. :)

I really don't like to play the guitar because I hate callouses. I learned because I was playing piano accompaniment to a guitarist that didn't use music. I had to learn what they were playing in order to back them up...so she would face me and play and I would basically read where she was on the guitar and play it on the piano....one day I decided it couldn't be that hard to play, so I bought a guitar...the hard part was reversing everything in my head because I'd been reading it like a mirror for so long...I'm a functional guitarist but not good. I can back up in a pinch but no solos. The piano is my first instrument.

If you like playing classical guitar, perhaps you'd like to try a flat top with some nylon strings. Much more comfortable. My hands are like leather from playing. Can't do anything about it now. I don't mind, though. Took a couple good years to not have it ache when I played for too long. Now I can play all day with no trouble if need be.

I have played classical before and it was much easier on the hands...I'm more of a rock type guitarist...only play it when there was a missing guitarist in our old group. I haven't played it or the piano for about a year now...I was just thinking how much I miss the piano. Sold my antique upright when we moved and only have a keyboard (nice one but it's not the same).

I've slowed down considerably since I started working. I chatted today with the Verizon Wireless on line customer service about my plan and new phones. That was really fun. They were pretty responsive.

Anyway, 10,000, Ronald! You are so close. I'm almost 7,000, but not going nearly as fast.
