Here are a few of the first shots from the league's championship games. They really did it right for these kids. They played on a high school field and had announcers, a marching band, the whole deal. Pretty cool. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

I love that first one!

Did he miss the catch or did the ball pop out when hit?

Thanks for looking!

He was hit just as the ball arrived and it just squirted through his hands......

Gotta hate when that happens as a player, great for pictures though!

Excellent series John. Good exposure and nice bokeh. The images are very sharp and the color is wonderful. You've captured some nice action here. I am also a fan of tight crops for this type of shooting. Very well done...

John, all done with the 70-200 IS, I assume! Those are crystal clear. I envy you. I haven't gotten anything close yet. I don't have really good bokeh with my sports shots, but I'm going to try it next season for soccer. Your shots are amazing. I need to get together with you to get some pointers. What camera are you using?

Wow very nice! Great exposure, being able to see all the faces so clearly.

Wow! Great shots. Love that you were able to capture the kid's eyes, even with the helmets.

Suzy, actually these were taken with the 300 f2.8. The camera is a 20D. I was almost down your way at Helwig Park on Bristow Rd on Saturday but the job didn't pan out....

Nice job. I had some fun learning with my nephew's team this year. I used the 70-200 with a Tamron 2x. I got in a lot better with the close ups. You definitely have better expresions, and exposure than mine. What are the secrets? Your pictures are also very sharp. Nice job. Mike
