I am ready for a website to promote my wedding photography business. I've looked at a number of pre-builts and especially like what Bludomain offers except the price is way too high for what I want for starters. I'm looking for a simple yet comprehensive html/flash site to illustrate my work with client galleries and my contact information. I want to easily upload new pictures and need hosting as well. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

There are a bunch of free php photo gallery websites you can download and setup on your server. With some, you can link the photos to paypal and people are able to purchase the photos right off your site. They also come with client logins as well. One such exampe is Coppermine at http://coppermine-gallery.net/index.php (external link)

I suggest you look into integrating PHP + MySQL + Flash.
It is amazing what you can do combining these technologies.

i agree, except for the flash part, i only partially agree on that. database/dynamic websites are very convenient, organized, and fast. many possibilities.

Let the product sell itself. Forget about flash, forget about all the best looking templets. As simple HTML with your art works can do the job. Marketing major. Hahha
