Well, if this one is rejected, I can always blame the camera! It was taken with a disposable waterproof camera (and converted to b&w) as I floated down the Little Colorado River to ride a rapids in my life jacket!

Oh, Petey, you give me way too much credit. If the title Dolt ever fit anyone, it would be me when it comes to photochopping.

Here's the original of that shot:
Resized, "auto" options in camera raw; absolutely no sharpening, no nothing. What've you got to say now? And you have my word.

OK, OK....that's better now. Was that with 24-70 or 17-40....or ?
I am afraid the lens is seriously decentered or you have polarized it cock-eyed ?

The background looks right, but there are no golf courses in the foreground.

I just found this thread. How many like this are there? (seems to happen wherever Pete shows up)

Tommy, I have been working really hard to maintain focus on photography around here.;)
As you know, paradoxically for a photography forum, that ain't so easy any more.

Thank you, Belmondo.

But with your tilt/shift lens, you needn't shoot from that level at all. You'd get a much better picture than that. That's why I want one.

I'm sure you've seen this before, but this is the shot I was trying to emulate, though this was taken with a tilt/shift.

What do you think of that one? Let me know when you're ready to part with it.

We can make like when we used to trade baseball cards as kids. You did do that, didn't you?

Got it.
Got it.
Got it.
Need it.
Need it.

Remember?:)

I like yours better than that one. (both the edited and unedited)
I wonder how a TS lens would really do with your shot....

Permy, I'm gonna have to put you on my payroll. Thank you very much for saying so. The photographer of the link I posted also admits to enhancing the yellow of the line. i wanted to do that to my white line, but alas I don't know how.

That is one perfectly executed shot, Mo.

Thank-you, my friend. Not the Trevi, however, but the Fontana del Pantheon.

Are you late to this party, Tom? No worries...it will probably go on for weeks. Seems like the Pet-Kal/condyk ways these days;)

agree they seem like an unlikely pair but I suppose they compliment eachother... kind of like peanutbutter and chocolate... in any regard i'm curious as to what the winner gets... but with Dave running the show.. (with a lot of input from Petey) who knows?... anyway i'm 2/3 and not hating myself completely.. ofcourse if pete were the judge i'd be knee deep in self loathing depression by now..... ;) ;)
