The first is probably my all-time favorite image I took... It is simple, but has something about it. It was my avatar for quite some time. The second is an image made of three bracketed exposures.

OK, OK....that's better now. Was that with 24-70 or 17-40....or ?
I am afraid the lens is seriously decentered or you have polarized it cock-eyed ?

As I stated once, the title dolt fits me. Know what I did on my vacation in Vegas where I took that shot? I left my 17-40 and 24-70 home.

My only wide angle lens was my 15mm fisheye, which is what that picture was taken with. Does that explain what you're seeing, Pete? I too noticed the blue sky looking strange.

this works. and I think should be accepted for the layering of emotional content.. two older children craddling infants, one child feeding another and the isolation that is apparent by the location they are sitting in.. even the tires add to the shot by placing them not in a backyard or on a porch but on a street with all that that implies... but as a nod to Pete I do agree with the perspective, however these kind of candids aren't easily achieved so hats off to you!

A translation
Paragraph 1: The pics are getting better as the thread goes along, despite the overly weighted emphasis on jibber jabber

2: Thanks for all, even the rejected, for putting in a good effort. The winner has not yet been chosen.

3: MDJAK is now a fool, instead of a Dolt (wonder if this will effect his title? ) Feel free to, in fact he insists that people posting images include text.

4. He seems to be asking the rest of the readers to offer there own views and comments on each new images legitimacy in the thread (turned competition as in paragraph 2 he mentions a winner), accept them, reject them etc.. (as if to say before your comments were not invited? or perhaps to qualify that the judges are in fact vetting your own input as well? This in contradiction of paragraph one which implies that your comments are simply getting in the way of the actual material.)

5> er.. keep 'em coming?

there now. you translated better than I did.. you know.. I think Dave's posts depend on his moods.. I have known him to be a bit easier to comprehend.. (wondering if we are going to be scratching our heads the entire time we're in Africa)... ;)

Nice work, Cyber.
However, I think we are still one hopefully final step from clarity of thought and expression despite your valiant effort.
I'd rather see us start from scratch.....for no amount of translations can turn Danielle Steele into Virginia Woolf.

hehe.. I'll have you know that two of my aunts swear by Danielle Steele.. they even buy her books in hardback...   ....

I think you captured the emotions well. I do agree with the perspective. Acceptance is not up to me however.

Ooogh....I must check that sky uneveness with my fishy....have not noticed it before.
I see that Zuckerman's pig has accorded you yet another title revision. "Dr.Yakov" is good but id does not mimic your last name accurately ....so it really should have been Dr.Jakov.

BTW, Pete, I loved the kissing camel (and the parrots).

When I get home, I'll have a kiss back to you.

Dr. Yakov.

No new pics in the last 8 posts. Here is one pathetic attempt to get the acceptance of the masses.

Understood, but what is before us is defined by our inner worlds rather itself, so your intention is, to a large degree, irrelevant. however, I applaud your compassion. Well done and keep up the good work ;-)a

... and Condyke and I are just getting up (after a hard day's night) the mind cells are flowing for Condyke

I hope it was good for you Marie ... I'm afraid I can't remember our liaison. Was I drunk?

Only one question - if an entry presented naked (i.e. without comment) is then clothed, does it become acceptable for entry? :p

I feel it should, so yes.

The feller with US Marine Chorus standard issue socks on looks like MD Jakov. Yeah, that's him.
He is holding a hirsuite midget who looks like Javex-incident Jon.
The other codger reminds me of miself. However, what was I doing in Fineland ?...... perhaps trying to get into Sweeden illegally as a gastarbeiter......?

You don't remember me anymore? This curly thingy was your gift to me, you said it's like that in jet lag and will be ok soon (but is still the same ...).

Well I was at work all night and at the Dr.'s all morning:evil: so I haven't had a chance to post my final entries.
Little kids are my favorite subjects to shoot...and the hardest. But they crack me up and make me feel good so here are my last 2 submissions. And I don't care if they get rejected...these are just for fun.;)
