Hmmm, looks like I don't have a picture of this one, but my first P&S was a Canon A60. I loved it to death from May 2003 when I got it till it fell to its death in Vienna.

I then bought a Casio EX-Z10 as a temporary replacement. It was then when I discovered how much better Canons were. AF and everything just wasn't nice.

I promptly sold it and purchased a Pro1. I love this camera but am selling it to cover my first lens (50mm f1.4).

I now have a 20D on the way and will be getting (probably) an A700 for my next P&S.

Lumix LX1 is still getting lots of use.

I just can't seem to get the courage to take my 5D away on trips abroad, it stay’s home in the Dehumidifier Cabinet when ever I go traveling.

Heck I'd be more leery of leaving it at home with me far far away!

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Don't laugh. It was actually a good camera (at the time). I think I paid $999.00 for it brand new. Amazon has them for $189.00 :(

I'm not laughing i was using the DC260 before going to DSLR. for a camera just over the 1 megpix, it took fantastic shots.

Canon S230. Loved it, but had absolutely zero control and tonnes of redeye (with flash). However, I did some non-flash photos and fell in love with available (not so lit) light photography. Some poking around and somebody showed the way to a Rebel and 50/1.8 =)

Used it for quite a while though, 2-3 years or so? Still loving it.

Any cam that can zoom and AF is hardly a point and shoot...and I include my A95, and my new Contax G1 which is auto focus/exposure AND auto-advance...this was my p/s before my d30...still is...

Mine was the Sony Mavica CD 1000......a huge camera by P&S standards - to be fair, it had more controls than a typical P&S.

I paid more for this than for my 2 DSLRs :( Now sits in permanent cold storage waiting to increase in antique value.

And yes, the best part was the 256MB mini-CD which captured the images. It cost less than a buck per CD - when CF cards were still very expensive.

2 more images of the camera...

As you can see, walking around with a DSLR with a fairly big lens is more discrete :)
