Sari, those trees are beautiful. Do you know if they stay red all winter? And what kind they are? Glad you made it through your ordeal and realized when you did that it was time to turn back. Also that you are making back-up plans for the next venture so someone knows your where abouts, just in case. Have fun exploring, but; be careful and smart about it, please.

thanks beccy.. and yep. if my shots from last year are an indication the pretty trees maintain their color..allthough they lose a lot of fullness.. they are uncanny and i'm a bit taken with them right now...
