Why do people not to like to include the exif data with their pics?

Many of the photo sharing sites automatically strip it out of the pics.
Photoshop also strips it out if "save for web" is used.

It cuts the file size if you leave out the EXIF.

Like Nordieboy said. The best way to make sure your under the 100kb limit of the site is to use the "Save for Web" in Photoshop. And it stips the Exif.

I have a question, I have checked exif on images and it will have the artist name and a description, how do you do that, I wish my name was in the exif of my pics..

Use software for your 20D (on cd in the box), there you can put your name in exif ;)

I leave it in when I can, just because it's handy.
some strip it to reduce filesize.
And some strip it because they for some reason feel it's sacred info that will give away their photographic secrets. whatever....

I know, I know a few people that remove the EXIF because they feel what they are doing is "Top Secret"....

Never understood that...

Plug camera into PC
Open EOS Viewer Utility
Go to "Option"
Then "Camera Settings"

It will be there with the original file. After you do any post processing it depends what you do, what program used and how you save it whether it will still show your name or not.
