Fairly new to the G1, but not so much to photography. I'm thinking about adding a few things to my G1 collection so I can vary my shots, but I'm having trouble finding good reviews on the web concerning the upgrades. Any suggestions you can offer are helpful!
I'm considering a telephoto lens, but I haven't gotten very far. I'm a very quality-based person, but I also have a budget. What would be the best comprimise? The vignetting and/or chromatic abberations would drive me nuts, so I could afford to splurge here.
Second... the lens adapter. Is it necessary to buy the Canon? The Lensmate seems cheaper and has a smaller profile. Unless I'm missing out on something I don't see why not.
When it comes to IR photography, what would you suggest for the best effect for the buck? I've seen plenty of postive Hoya remarks, and they don't seem to be the most expensive of the bunch. Unless I see otherwise, I'll probably end up with one at this point.
Which brings me to my last question. Can someone post a link to a reputable vendor for these parts? I haven't seen much in the way of these things surfing through the other posts.
