I have seen picts of the Leica and I was pretty impressed comming from a SLR family. It does not disapoint, but its still not an SLR. Honestly seems like the Panasonic has bad noise. The G7 looks nice, but I really want raw in my P&S regardless. A tilt screen would be nice too, and the viewfinder of the G7, but I think raw is higher on my list. The Panasonic/Leica makes great images, but make no mistake, after a few months you will be wanting a DSLR again. The most missed feature: viewfinder. Juliano L.

"some day" too, I will have my P&S that has a 17-600mm zoom lens that's f/2.8 constant, that will outresolve my 5D and L glass, have instant autofocus and zero shutter lag MAYBE. As someone who works technology and has seen so many broken promises, my answer to that is always "I'll believe it when it's in my hands" Till that day comes, I fully agree with you.. nothing owns like a real optical TTL viewfinder ![]() Damn straight. I'm sure 6 years ago somebody said we'de have a 6ghz processor now, but we don't, instead we have proecssors with speeds we had 5 years ago, yet an extra core. Same size batteries, same type memory cards, I can take both in my camera bag and just carry either depending on the circumstances. Both can use my 5x7 printer(all canon of course (-; ). Simple. And it has a viewfinder.
