All are fantastic, but the Diamond Head shot is AWESOME. The colors, the clarity, the sharpness, everything. Bringing it strong with your first few posts...welcome to the forum!

Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement. If you liked these ones I will have to try to finish the Panorama's I have of the Grampians and post them for you all.

Yes Jim you are correct I do enjoy doing Panorama's. Only problem is that they tend to take up a lot of wall space once they are printed and framed.

Once again thanks for the words of support.

Once again thanks for all the kind words of encouragement.

These Panorama's were all shot with my 10D and a 17-40 L Lens.

They were all hand held except for Hanauma Bay & Fanning Island. Those 2 were done on a Tripod using a home made Panoramic Rig.

The Shots that were done hand held had atleast 3 shots done before moving onto the next segment. This helped me to do things like line up waves or cover over people who were in my field of view (and wouldn't move).

I tried to shoot using atleast f16. Although I had to drop to f6.7 for the Fern Grotto and f4.5 for the Kapoloa Falls (as for this one I was hanging out over a 500ft drop off and wanted fast shutter speeds to get the shots without too much shaking ;) ).

I then selected the images that lined up best and put them in Panorama Factory. Doing a manual stich I got them lined up and then saved the Panorama with each photo on its own layer. Loaded the image in Photoshop to do any needed minor corrections. For the Hanauma Bay Pano this required me to alter some seams to cover people who were right on the joins.

Great pictures.

I actually went to Maui last year for my hunnymoon as well (November). I had taken some 800 photos.......Unfortunately, due to a filthy little thief, I had my camera backpack with the photo CD's stolen right out of our vehicle (we were leaving on this same day). I still managed to hang on to one disk, as it was being proccessed.

Your pictures bring back good memories though. And at any rate.....It gives me a good excuse to go revisit the islands again!

Once again, great pictures! Simply wonderful! :)
