Should I get this recalibrated?
Tanron 28-75 2.8 on a Rebel XT all taken on a tripod at around 4 feet using the timer shutter release.

The more I look a it, it seems it is "focusing" to the right of that, at least it seems sharper to the right of the center. Is this something that can be fixed in calibration of the lens? I believe Lightrules was asking where, in the photograph, you were focusing. Was it the placard, the lady's face, someplace else?

More info | Nov 16, 2006 07:00 | #6 First ask yourself if you have had the lens long enough to actually get used to the lens. It takes even more to get used to using a lens at f/2.8. The wider the aperture, the more difficult it becomes to focus. Doc Klepper in the USA
