Okay, so there's a silly story behind these shots.. ends up with me putting sticks and twigs underneath my car tires to get myself out of a little snow embankment after accidentally driving myself into open range up the mountain top looking for the perfect composition. of a particular mountain top i've been staring at for the last few months... seriously running out of time though ... another few weeks and my car won't go anywhere near where I need to be...

anyway, here's what I did come up with.. at the end of the day I didn't need to go anywhere near the area I got stuck at.. live and learn... again...

those are nice Sari, I was hoping for one of your car stuck in the snow though.

I really like the contrast of the red with the snow in the first shot.

by the way the fifth one is the view from one of the dining rooms I work at.. hence the docks in the foreground.. a similar composition will be passed on for resort use...

I like the last one, but something about the red leaves in the first one really appeals to me.

I'm with Jim on this one. The red on the trees in the first shot really makes the shot! I kept going back to that one.

thanks Dimitri... I'm going to play around with HDR on that composition.. that one is a quick jpeg I pulled... but, the folks at my resort are wanting to use it so i'm pleased to hear any good things..... and yes. i'm enjoying the snow it feels like all of the compositions that I took I need to re-take now that there's white stuff all over...

Greetings, The contrasts that you have captured in the first photo rule. I would love to see some of the top cropped, and this picture in a frame. KC

thank you.. the exposure on that one proved to be a bit of a challenge.. i'm hoping to go back at a different time of day and hopefully do better justice to that barn...

I'll work on a crop when I pull the RAW file... and I do think it's destined for a frame. a friend has already asked for it..

very addictive those trees.. I'm afraid i'm going to be on a red tree kick for a while... I love the contrast between the snow and those things..
