Ok so I grab a free 2007 calendar at the neighbourhood pharmacy. Landscapes galore from this part of the country (Canada). I have been looking at those with a different eye since I got really interested into photography 2-3 years ago.

I open it and oh my God the horizon is tilted on the January picture!!! The photographer's bio says he's been taking picture since the 70's.

Now I can understand that even a photographer with 30+ years tilts his horizons inadvertently now and then... But how the hell did it make it to print?!!??

For those of you that are in the area/interested it's the Jean Coutu pharmacy calendar.

Worst part is that their not some small local company... they actually own over 2000 Brooks and Eckerd pharmacies in the US.

With the exception of experienced photographers, most people don't really notice tilted horizons.

^^Wow! That means I'm an experienced photographer :p

So you think they didn't notice the tilt or did they notice it and assume nobody would see it?

Uh... actually I believe you are in the UK :) I'm in Canada.

I thought about posting a pic of the calendar but I don't want to infrige any copyrights. I don't know... Would it be copyright infrigement to do so? (I assumed yes but I could be wrong).
