The Sodbury Slog Road Race. 9.5 Miles. Starts on road, onto common, onto farm land, into hell. Rapidly becoming Bristol's second biggest race with 1000 entrants today. A fresh, not too cold morning. Nice light, no blue but consistent. All shot on 300mm 2.8. Enjoy - comments welcome. Last one is my favourite, I love her eyes.

Did the winner get a lot of money?
Meet the Queen?
Get Knighted?
Sign a one year endorsement contract with Nike?
Become the spokes person for Geritol?

In some perverse way, that looks great fun!

Love the pictures too - lovely and sharp in what must have been lousy shooting conditions - it looks dark and murky.

You going in for the race next year? :)

Thanks all.

My running days are long behind me, but snapping not.

Despite the fact it looks horrid, most enjoy it and I certainly like shooting it.

Pete.

I LOVE IT!!! I ran CC in high school, and the days where you got muddy were the best. But I never saw ANYTHING like that. Looks like fun.

Great shots, too. You captured the sick happiness that drew those combatants into the slog.

Excellent shots Pete really like them all but the guy in the first shot of the second post is a classic.
