taking the advice of saravrose, I can see that there are members who list NC as home. Is there a P.O.T.N meeting group active here? Is there a group shoot planed? Inquiring mind wants to know.

It's a fairly large state. There are people all the way from Asheville to the Banks area. ISTR there are 1-2 threads inMember Activities from NC members. Raleigh-Durhanm area, IIRC.

Most of the activity seems to be on the eastern side of the state.

Carolinas' Nature Photography Association is VERY active in the Triangle area. There are almost weekly activities, weekly updates, etc. Check out their website http://cnpa.org/ (external link)

Fuquay here. I'm not a member in any of the local clubs either. Most of the ones I have heard about are on the north side of town and I'm lucky to get out of work in time to sleep some days and just can't see myself making meetings on the other side of town.

North Raleigh is real difficult to get to!
That's why I am starting a club at Bass Lake ....

there is so much to shoot at the park ranging from Great Blue Herons, to Opsreys, to woodpeckers and a host of other birds and lots of lizards and insect life in the summer!

Also; its fun to try catching the fish break the surface around the feeders in the summer ...

When a meeting is at 7:30 and wife gets home from work at 6pm then starts dinner 10 to 15 minutes after that (which gives her zero time to catch her breath) it makes for too tight a schedule ...

FYI: I have already got it set up to start a club mainly for nature and wildlife photography in Holly Springs at Bass Lake Park and Retreat Center for this January, 2007.

Go to http://www.webwholesaler.com/photoz/ (external link) to bookmark the basic info page IF INTERESTED!

Digital D: Yeah, I know what it's like! I was just yankin' your chain! If we didn't have to work for a living, photography would be alot more convenient!

I will keep checking your website. I might be interested in attending the meeting. If you let in North Raleigh boys?

I might be working towards getting a photography club rolling ...

but it is for selfish reasons ...

I do not want to pay for years of college to learn which button does what
