I guess it also depends on weather you like vinegar or ketchup based. I have had some good BBQ in Lexington and here in Charlotte, but I grew up on Red Bridges BBQ. Every time I pass through Shelby, I have to stop.

I didn't know NC had good BBQ. I've lived here most of my life(25 years) and I just can't bring myself to stomach NC BBQ. Then again, coming from Texas where BBQ was beef, you just can't compare.

I'm not a fan of NC BBQ either. But then again. I'm not from here.

Stolen Gear Alert for North Carolina:

My family were visiting Charlotte last weekend for a youth basketball tournament and we had the misfortune to have our van broken into. While most of my gear was in the hotel room with me, I lost my LowePro Vortex 200, my EF 50mm f1.8 (serial # 68864856), and a EF-S 17-85mm (serial # 4312914516), along with a GPS unit and some iPod gear.

I am usually a paranoid about leaving anything in a car overnight, but we had stayed at the hotel before, my hands were already full, and my initial intention of going back to the van for a second trip of hauling stuff upstairs didn't materialize once I got into the room.

Ive been watching the local Craigslist's for all of NC, but just in case anyone in the area sees any of these items for sale off line - please shoot me an email or PM.

Thanks!

Currently in Fayetteville, but whenever my husband gets out of the Army we'll probably head back to Greenville.
