Anyone using this one yet? I have heard some great things, but not enough info yet. Any links to reviews?

But, now that I look at Sigma's MTF charts I see it is not as good as their 150 macro, so maybe I'll pass. Focus limiter switch would help though.

Yeh, the new Pop Photo [Dec 2006] issue says it's "faultless" and only a handful of lenses they've ever tested that tested so high. Not much news around the forums on it though with folks. Oh well, I'll stick with my lowly 150EX.

ha, i was just over at the sigma site and wondering if its more versatile than the ef 85mm f/1.8, cept for the one stop.

and the mtf charts ain't that bad. its marginally worse than the 150mm, but still better than their 50mm and 105mm. plus, if you use it on an aps-c or aps-h body, then i don't think there will be too much a difference for border sharpness.

Ditto about the PopPhoto test. It's the only test seen so far and PopPhoto confirms Sigma's claim that it's the sharpest lens in the current Sigma line up and it scores "A" in the SQF test at the largest print size 20x24 inches, which is an uncommon thing at PopPhoto's tests.

I suspect it should be stellar optically. I'm just wondering about the focal length. I think it's too short for real tele work and too long for wide work.
