These are very good shots Scottie and I think you have done well to get the tracks in the grass to lead to the light-house, it certainly draws you to the subject, which of course is the lighthouse.
Excellent reflection of the lighthouse in the last shot, it's quite perfect and makes the shot much better.
And finally the sun clipping over the horizon in the first shot sets the mood for the image with good colours and textures, good work, well done.

#3 for me, mate. The shadows provide a nice contrast on the rocks. Your horizon is a bit slanted, though. (j/k)

Yer Haverrin' again Jim  cheers mate

Ah, man. I stared at the first one for a long time and concluded that it is perfect. Looking at the second one I felt, "What a lucky person Buggbairn is." Then I hit the reflection. Nuff said.

Thanks Buddy and your right, for once I did get lucky !!

Three crackers from the Falkirk Master! First is my winner - excellent use of those filters and the wide angle. My kind of shot.

In the other two situations I would have gone for a portrait orientation. Not suggesting that would be better, just different. Am I crazy? (no answer required!) :)

Crazy in your own special way Mike ;) Cheers for the advice, I did try portrait shots of both scenes but somehow prefered landscape orientations

very nice series scottie.......... the first and last ones really hit the spot for me...

Cheers Alan mate, get yourself out to the coast, you'll love it !!

2nd for me Scottie, excellent use of a wide-angle perspective, perhaps I'd shave a touch from the top, there's not much happening up there, and would give even more emphasis on the ridged tracks.
Good work.

Thanks Les, your right about the sky lacking any real interest so a wee crop may be just the trick, monochrome PPing is something I've also been playing around with, definately requires a certain style of image don't you agree ?

Beautiful shots! I can't say that I like one better than the other because they are all so different! I like all 3!

Thanks Carol Very nice of you to say so :)

Scottie, beautiful as always.....definitely has the "wow" factor!

Thanks Buddy If my shots have even the slightest hint of wow factor then I'm a happy bunny :)

Scottie, Im not sure which one I like the most. I love everything about the first shot, the colors in the sky and the detail in the FG are spot on. Those lines in the second are very effective and a superb reflection in the third....I have to say I enjoy all your shots here, well done buddy

Bang on! Especially the first. Not much I can say that hasn't been said about them all already. I love the positioning of the sun in number one. Just right.
