Could anyone please give me some information about the following two lenses.

Tamron AF28-80mm F/3.5-5.6 Aspherical

Tamron 75-300 F/4-5.6

I couldnt find much information about them online and Id like to know if anyone has had any experience with them. Also Im still learning about htis stuff (dont even have a camera yet) and I dont know what the F/#.# means. If someone could explain this to me i would appreciate it a lot! Thanks for the help!

Can't tell you anything about those specific lenses, but f/3.5-5.6 reflects that the zoom lens doesn't maintain a constant aperture throughout its zoom range. At 28 mm, the maximum aperture you can set is f/3.5; by the time you've zoomed out to 80 mm, the aperture f/ number is only f/5.6. Likewise for the 75-300 f/4-5.6 - f/4 at 75 mm, and f/5.6 at 300.

Both are low grade consumer lenses. Unless budget is tight, I'd not recommend them.

You might pick up Understanding Exposure, by Bryan Peterson, published by Amphoto, or visit the Canon Digital Learning Center (external link). A lens' aperture is a measure of its light gathering power, how much light it needs to be able to take a picture. The aperture is a ratio of the lens opening to the focal length, so smaller numbers mean larger openings that work better in low light.
