I haven't always been successfull using the Copperhil method, Eclipse and pecpad, on the first attempt. However, the dust spots have always moved to new locations. Eventually they have been removed. If the spots don't move after using the Copperhill method or a brush, you have a stubborn problem and maybe the particles are underneath the sensor filter.

I would not put a drop of Eclipse on the filter for fear that it may carry particles underneath the filter. My opinion only.

I thought the spots on your picture were not acceptable and the sensor needs to be cleaned.

.......... there was a lot of "stuff" in the chamber from the manufacturing process, and it has loosened/dislodged and been blown out with repeated cleanings.

Just a thought........ I wonder if Canon assembles its cameras in "clean air" rooms ?

Well, I was told when I sent my camera in to get the viewfinder cleaned (the dust was up ABOVE the condensor, deep inside the viewfnder chamber) that they DON'T have any "clean air" rooms, and there was a risk of making things worse. It also seems they may have misunderstood me and removed the AA filter as well to clean the sensor (why is beyond me) which may have made things worse.

When I first sent the camera in to get the viewfinder cleaned, it was new with 1 spec of dust on the sensor. I sent it back 3 more times to get the viewfinder cleaned properly, and each time they sent it back saying they also cleaned the sensor, and each time the sensor came back dirtier and dirtier.
