If you could complete your "core" kit... What are you missing?

For Me.

5D (Not a lens, but I want a full frame camera too)

TS-E 24mm f/3.5L
EF 85mm f/1.2 II
EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro
EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS

EF 1.4x II Extender

I don't even what to do the math.. it would make my wallet sick. :D ;)

I can't think of any other lenses that I would possibly "need". I don't shoot real Long distance, so 200mm+ would be useless in my "core kit"

To round out a kit that can "do it all" for me, I'd need a good number of things.

24L TS-E
15 FE
16-35L
300 2.8L IS
85L
135L
A super telephoto, either the 500 or the Sigma 300-800. You need a great deal of length on FF to get small animals.

200/1.8. Ok, never gonna afford that, but I suppose the 135/2L will do. I'm actually not too estatic about it, it's a sweet lens I'm sure... but I have that range covered with excellent portrait lenses (3,5/135 Sonnar and 70-200/4L). I'd want it for a indoor event lens though.

Actually, I will probably get a 400 f/5.6 before next summer and that will it for me. Although I am seriously thinking about trading my 10-22 for a 17-40 if anyone is interested.

For me (in the exact order I plan to get them)

1) SIGMA 10-20MM 4-5.6 EX
2) CANON EF 85MM/F1.8 USM
3) SIGMA 105MM F2.8 EX
4) SIGMA 50-500MM F4-6.3 EX DG

I have a 1.4 X II on order...:-)

There are now only two lenses that I really wish I had... and for totally different applications

EF 300mm f/2.8L IS
EF 85mm f/1.2L (either version)

I'd "like" to have the 35mm L as well, but it never comes to me in dreams.. ;)

i don't have a macro lens, and that could be fun. i've got pretty much everything else covered pretty well since the 200mm is plenty of reach the majority of the time.

i do a lot of low-light indoor shooting, and the 16-35L or 24-70L would be nice; even nicer would be a wide angle, fast, prime...anyone make something like a 20mm f/1.8?
