For the most part,

24-70 (midrange zoom)

However, i don't need it. There will be a few situations where need might be there, but those are not that common.

Then 400mm 2.8. Need will be there with soccer and football games, if i want to get distance on a 1DMKII. I could use the 300mm on the 30D though, but the 1D's system is just so awesome.

My wallet is very sick. Check this out below, all purchased since 7/29/06.

Couple more primes probably wouldn't hurt. Upgrade to 50mm 1.2L and some long telephoto primes.

You are a sick, sick man! ;)

I'ld like a 50/1.2L instead of my 50/1.4 if it performs significantly better, a 70-200L IS instead of my 80-200L and a 16-35L instead of my 20-35L (in that order).
I'ld like to try a 85/1.2 II.
Apart from that I'm pretty much set.

I think it depends how big your "core kit" is :D

85/1.8 or 100/2 .. i need this for indoor sports and portrait. The L/1.2 has to wait :)
300/2.8 ... need for field sport.

I wish I'm still single, then I'd own any lens that I wish to have. But then again, I'll probably be in debt to my eyeball :D haha

I have good coverage all the way from 14mm to 400 (and beyond, with TCs). I will buy the 50mm f/1.2L when it comes out any day now. I guess I'm at the point where I don't really need anything, and am generally buying the things I just want.

Ahem....ahem....we'll take your word for it, Tommy, if you are happy, so are we. (Oh man, it seems so easy to please some people..... );) :D

I just got the EF-S 10-22, which covers the ultrawide end. My old manual lenses give me coverage at the long end. My next purchase will be the Canon 100mm macro, as using my manual Tamron macro lens is too slow and inconvenient. I might get a 1.4X Extender soon as well, for my 70-200. Much later I might look at a longer lens, but I'll be torn between 300/4L, 400/5.6L, and 100-400L. Still that'll be a nice problem to have!
