Yes, they are mirrors.

This boat/driver just increased his World Record for the S3000 Class (up to 3litre) but not Formula 1 Class (go figure??) to 138.54mph. He actually did a 1 way run over a kilometre at 140.??mph. He reckons with the right props he'll get 150mph. Maybe next year!
