Grego- thanks so much for that link.. They have juuusst what I'm looking for.

Have you had sucess with them?

Bought my 10 from there in "bargain" condition for just a shade under $430 shipped. Wasn't exactly pretty (hence "bargain") but it works fine. I actually have only been reaching for the 30D for sports lately, preferring the 10D for regular snapshooting and any other low ISO (below 800) work.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Hows their customer service? These college budgets don't really allow much margin for error, if ya know what I mean.

Seemed ok. I emailed a question, got a response pretty quickly. Haven't had to make use of anything beyond that. It was better than anything you'd get from a private party after the fact.

Canon 100 f/2? Awesome lens. Canon 100 f/2.8 Macro. Another awesome lens.

Used, is a good way to save money.

Whats the difference between the canon 100 f/2? and the canon 100 f/2.8 Macro? The size ratio? Also, does a dedicated macro lens also work for limited still life and things like that?

One's faster and not a macro, the other is a bit slower and a macro. You can use a macro for non-macro work but a non-macro doesn't do macro well without extention tubes, add-ons, etc.

100 f/2 has one of the fastest AF out there along with the 85 1.8. They are very good for low light work and sports. Makes a good portrait lens too.
If you get extension tubes, it can be made into a macro.

100 f/2.8 Macro has slower AF, not good is low light. However, it does what its supposed to do well. Does macro's well. Can serve as a portrait lens. Is very sharp.

Where do people buy used lenses? Here? Ebay? B&H? Just curious at the moment, but always dreaming...

Geoff
All I want is a 10-2000 f/0.5L with no distortion that weighs 100 grams, fits in my pocket, and costs $300. Is that too much to ask?
