Just wondering who here buys there filters from ebay, and who they buy from. I've never bought from any ebay sellers and I just don't want to get scammed. I was thinking of grabbing the filter in the link, any good? Are there things I should look out for when ordering from outside the US? Are there better filters for than other? Thanks in advance for any help.:D

I have bought filters from ebay Homg Kong sites, and had no problems, the saving is significant. The seller you link to seems legit, but take some time to check through the feedback and verify that the buyers he has are genuine.

Also, do I need an account for ebay purchases? Whats the cost if any? And is there any difference between an account and paypal? Sorry for all the questions.

You will definitely need an eBay account to make a purchase and probably a Paypal account too. The eBay account simply lets you make the purchase in the sense that you agree to buy the item. The Paypal account is the escrow service that transfers the money from you to the seller. It is, in effect, your proof that you have sent the seller the money for an item. The seller may accept other forms of payment but you will probably get the item fastest if you use Paypal.

Both eBay and Paypal accounts cost nothing for buyers but take commission from sellers.

Hope this helps.

I'll vouch for this seller as I bought a B+W 77mm Polarizing filter from him. It did take a little bit longer for delivery (I'm used to 2-3 days from B&H), but the savings was well worth the wait. I was skeptical at first, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.
