Some recent captures of the Little Blue Heron Fishing on a Hot Texas Morning:
Regards, Ron

Great set Ron, do you do all your PP work with DPP, or do you use other software also?
Thanks
Joe.

I have used in the past Neat Image Pro for NR before Canon released the better High ISO bodies like the 5D MKII, 7D & 60D but now i can live with the noise at ISO800. I have tried LR but i still have an older P4 pc with only 2gig of memory and need to upgrade the computer. Silverfox1 POTN Feedback / TC Extender Tests / Gear List

I've been using my 70-200 2.8L with the 2x extender, but my photos aren't very sharp because of it. I imagine I'd be way happier using the 400mm prime? What are your thoughts? Get the 400/f5.6 as you will be happy providing you can be content shooting primarily ISO 640 to 800 to keep your SS around 1/400 and use a monopod for your stationary captures out past 30ft. unless you have very steady hand-holding techniques. ForcedFire wrote in post #12905234 That's what I did. I was using 1.4 and it sucked, I imagine 2x would be worse. This lens still requires good light to get a good photo but with a little practice it's not hard. I dont do the below very often but this 400/f5.6 with a 2x TC + 5D MKII at 800mm/f11.0 using MF & a monopod is possible in the below captures at shutter speeds of 1/250 and 1/200 : Silverfox1 POTN Feedback / TC Extender Tests / Gear List
