This guy kept flying in front of the moon every minute or so, managed to get a couple of shots.

I also had a go at the moon last night, this is with the Canon 2x Extender MKII.
Only my 2nd shot with this lens so lots to learn. Will have another go tonight to get it a little sharper.

I use a Manfrotto 393, while not technically a gimble head it works really well on a tripod or mono-pod and costs less. :)

jef96, I use an Induro GHB-2 Gimbal when I use the lens on a tripod. I love that head. Frankly, however, I usually handhold it.

I picked up this Opteka gimbal heads from Amazon. It works pretty well, however it is not a Wimberley or an Induro.

I've been looking alll over the sample pages for something other than birds and finally you post some :). Do you find the lens limiting for good composition of larger critters like deer? This lens is on my to get list next month. Love the muskrat!
