I really like this lens a lot. But more importantly I REALLY like how this lens acts with a 2x kenko TC. I don't know how I hand held 1/500 with the 2x TC but miracles happen I guess. Gadget-Guy Senior Member  More info | Second outing with the 400 f5.6 since i sold my 400 2.8 IS L as i was fed up of carrying it around all day,also wanted a 1 DX.  The equipment you'll leave at home will be the equipment you'll need the most!
