Its my first DSLR, just wanted to see what you guys thought of my first few shots of my girlfriend. your right, she wanted to show off the new ring i bought her for her B-day. thanks for the feed back. im still learning all the functions of the camera, so they will hopefully get better.

I like #1 for the composition, but the hand is a little dominating. then i like #2 because of the pose and look of the shot, but is is a tad bit soft to me. He still has one more move.

Here is an example of maybe a different white balance of the second. I only changed the wall coloringto her right and put a highlight layer to her left to bring hints of her hair out from the shadows. I also sharpened the image a touch.
