Personally, I am glad that you didn't use a longer shutter speed to soften the waves - I feel that the fact that they are sharp as they are really adds to the intense push/pull of them. Great shot. Quite new to all this.

Thanks for the suggestion, it is good to see there are a few maritimers on here. I played with a few different crops but in the end I decided I didn't want to lose any of the backwash on the bottom.
