First Hockey with 70-200 2.8L

FAST focus! Was using a 80-200 2.8 Tokina. No comparison in the ability to lock on and track a target. Also, much better IQ. All I did to these was run them through Nosieware (shot at 1600 on a 10D), resize, auto color and USM in PSE5. I still need a lot of practise at this digital PP!

really like no. 3 and not just for the guy in the background with the orange teeth but you got a great shot with the timing.. nice.

Thanks! The lens is a very good improvement. I got a lot of keepers from that game. They had just cleaned the boards so the glass was nice and clear. I was able to set TV mode @ 1/320 with good results.

Don't mind at all! It looks good. Your crop cleaned up the "attractive" maintenance area in the background and you can still see the puck coming in. I can't see much difference in saturation, but I am on a laptop with an uncelebrated screen. In fact, I think one of those monitor calibrators will be my next photography purchase!
