That's exactly how the sky looked here yesterday as it was setting. Almost a pure red which was very unusual but very beautiful.
In the second, you've captured the sunrise very well and thank you for sharing.

We have had nothing but rain and overcast skies for weeks. It was great to see some sun and colour this morning.

Thanks the comments and viewing, Robert.

Wow, two very interesting images. The colors are fantastic, but what gets me most is the clouds in #2 look just like the water reflections in #1, which almost look like the sun is reflecting off small waves...or is that the reflection from the clouds that aren't seen above? Very cool!

Great sky, colors, detail, reflections, and patterns. These are interesting, they'd be just that much better if only there was something in the foreground to anchor the compostion home (that's not saying that I don't really like these shots!)

It is the reflection of the clouds above. Thanks for your comments and viewing.

Thanks for the comments, Dorman. I agree something in the foreground would improve the composition. The problem is that where I take these images there is not a lot to put in the foreground. In the first image you can see the rocks on on the bottom of the lake in the foreground. I thought that helped a bit to anchor it. I hear you and will work to add that element in the future.
I appreciate the feedback.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p
