Awesome!! Glad you finally got it. I can't say enough good tihngs about mine...and I have no trouble admitting that when my pictures don't come out as I would like, it's me, not the camera. You're going to be so thrilled with it!

Awesome camera, my friend. Congrats. I purchased a 20D and weeks later purchsed a 30D. To me THAT was a nice jump in important features, so I can imagine how elated you are jumping from an XT to a 30D! Go shoot until you wear a hole into the shutter button then let's see some of those prize winners!

This thing is great. I went to the Conservatory plant house.
Pics came out great..Spot metering is awsome. I am also able to do macro MUCH MUCH easier with this compared to my XT...I dont know if its from the vewfinder or the bigger camera to hold onto.
I am soooo pleased. I cant wait till summer again so i can use it outdoors again.lol
I seem to be getting sharper pics to. I guess its able to lock a focus better then the XT. It seems like my lens are sharper on this camera then the XT.

Congratulations. Now you are seeing some of those differences between the Rebel series and the double digit series. Not everything can be seen in the spec sheet.
