Hi all,
I have a D60 body from about 2002. I have just loaded some RAW files to Capture One Pro and noticed in the Metadata that the Color/Colour Space is set to sRGB. ATM I mainly just take photos to view on my PC and upload to Flickr, but I would like to know if this is the best color space to have my D60 set to? (I would like to print some photos when I have a good colour printer in future.)

If not, is there a way for me to change to Adobe RGB ( 1998 ) setting, as my chum ;) Deke McClelland - (Total Training etc etc) ,says this is the best setting to use?
TIA
Ben

Ben Daniels,
For monitor or internet viewing sRGB is the best.
I personally use sRGB for printing also and with 13"x19" prints results are excellent :)

PS. try both take a photo one with sRGB then the other with aRGB and then view the two on your flicker account or prints and make up your own mind :)

Adobe RGB is only "best" if you're printing on a device with Adobe RGB colour profile. If you're shooting RAW, you can choose the colour space in post-processing.

Leave in on sRGB for general use - Only use Adobe RGB if you know what you are doing with colour space worflow, or a professional print shop requests it.

Board is acting very strange right now..nothing seems to be getting through...but here's the link to this info. Obviously my attempt to add spaces to make this legible did not work:
