One from an outdoor wedding I shot this summer. The entire grounds was landscaped making a perfect location for a wedding.http://good-times.webshots.com …2838964650055212718VWZMNk (external link)

Thanks
Mike

Something might be wrong with the pic. Looks over pixelated on my screen.

I would love the image as a horizontal but not as a vertical. It needs to have the bottom half cropped off for a horizontal format.

Personally, I like the vertical format. The waterfall draws a bit of attention from the couple but it makes up for it by adding interest in the photo.

Thanks for the suggestions/comments everyone :D . I took several shots similar to this one hoping to capture for the bride and groom what a beautiful location they had chosen to be married.

Mike, hope you dont mind me changing your picture. This is how I see it. With more of the couple being the focal point, not the waterfall. Please remember, photography is in the eye of the beholder and each of our own likes. Your picture is gorgeous too...

I find the re-crop a bit more drawing the viewer to the couple. The original crop would make a reasonable publicity shot for whoever owned the land, if they wanted to publicize it as a great location to come have your wedding! different point of primary interest. If the shot had been done wider and the couple was closer to center (but not in the bullseye!) they would have more of the viewer's attention and the waterfall is incidental.

I agree Wilt about what the picture is suppose to do... a wedding picture or an advertising picture. Both are good...

Thank you... the first thing I learned when starting to take photos was to use the 3rd rule. Divide the picture in to thirds and place the object of the picture in one of the thirds... works most the time.

Urbandancer, I agree with the picture. Its a great angle, great subject and great color!!!
