I like them, maybe include a bit more church next time.

Cool shots, I like how in the first one, that although the wall is fairly illuminated in the bottom right corner, it's well balance with the lit up tower and the brighter section of the sky in the left. The second one has a nice sense of motion from those stars! Neat mini-series!

The second one is great. What's the subject here? The church or the interplay between the church and the motion of the stars. It's my opinion it's the juxtaposition of the spinning stars against the solid permanence of the church. The worldly church with it's steeple anchored solidly on our planet reaching up to the stars in effort to connect spiritually with the heavens.

If you agree with this interpretation then I feel the second one is excellent. The first one doesn't convey the theme nearly as well mainly because there is less movement in stars and less sky.

I'm glad you didn't get the church straight.

Joe

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Great shot I love the second one. I have never tried an exposure for more than 30 sec, to get a longer exposure you need to set the the camera to bulb and hold the shutter button for the duration? or am I totally wrong.

FREEZE:lol:
I make sure i stand well clear of the tripod and jump up and down or jog on the spot to keep warm.:D As for waiting for noise reduction to do it's job, well i had taken the long exposure and packed up. It's about 5 mils to home. It still hadn't finised, infact my partner had made a nice hot drink before it finished writing.:D
And thanks for all the great coments. ;)
