Has anyone shot a full wedding with the 24-105? If you have, your feedback greatly appreciated.

Did you experience any frustrations or draw backs with shooting with just the one lens?

Currently using 2 x 20D bodies. Tam 28-75 on one, ef70-200 on the other. Obviously a 2 body system is ideal, however if I can get by with just the one, that would be great!

Thanks a bunch

Sam

I have never found I am always able to cover weddings with anything that does not permit 28mm FOV (35mm film SLR). This is based upon many weddings shot with medium format SLR with 50mm (28mm FOV on 35mm film SLR), some with 35mm SLR (using 28mm) and with 20D dSLR (using 17mm, equal to 28mm FOV on 35mm SLR). Often times you simply are forced into being quite close (or else the crowd is standing in front of the lens!) and/or shooting a group which simply is too wide for a lens which is close to 'normal' (diagonal measure of the frame). I would go with 17-55mm on one body and 70-200 on the other body!

Thanks Wilt. I'm still umming and arring over the 17-55 - however, a one camera - one lens sytem would be fantastic.

One camera + one lens, will never work.

Canon's 17-55 would give you IS, and 2.8 to boot. On the other body the 70-200 would go well(if 2.8).
