I just oredered a new 5D and 24-105mm is from B&H. Arrives on Monday and I am leaving on a 10 day vacation with my family to Estes Park Colorado. I can't wait to try out the new camera and lens on the scenery and wildlife there. I hope to post some pics when I get back and will even look for a duck:lol:

I'm envious of your 5D, but since I have the 24/105 on a 30D, my envy is somewhat lessened. If you like your's half as much as I like mine, you won't likely use the other lenses too much. I find it very versatile.

I've been following the bokeh thread, and quite frankly the bokeh on my lens is as good as anyone's. I had heard otherwise, but now realize it was just a bit of gas.

Just looked at your gear list - beware - you cannot use the 1.4 TeleX on the 24/105L. I believe that the front element on the Extender will run into the rear of the 24/105. The 24/105 has a rounded rectangular opening at the rear which conflicts with the Extender.

Enjoy.

IMO, a shot of a goose or a swan is even better than a duck.

When did voluptuous become voluminous?
