If you like green grass, come to Cali in about a month. :) Grats on being a proud new owner!

Well it depends on what kind of lenses if my friend had a 70-200 f2.8 or even f4 i would take that more than the friend who understands photography.

We've srtill got green grass in the UK - it only goes brown if we have a drought. In the Uk that means no rain for a couple of weeks.

Great lens though - but does it have the right hood? Doesn't look quite like the usual deep petal shaped hood...? So long as it works, it doesn't matter though!

Are you the person posting last week about getting this lens for like $800?

Congrats, that is one awesome lens! Go out with Mike Rogers who takes all those surfing pictures there. Do you know him? He is a friend of mine from high school in Japan and he takes surfing pictures there and sells them to the surfers. Also, he has made multiple covers in surfer magazines. He has quite the set-up!
