This is my first photo with the 580EX that I just got yesterday. Our miniature Dachshund was about to settle down to read the paper, but I disturbed him. C&C welcome.

Exif: f/8, 1/60 second, ISO 800, EC -2.0

I am still trying to figure out everything about the flash. I just shot this one in P mode, but I usually use M. :)

Here is another shot that I took this afternoon. My son was playing around with him trying to get him to dance for a treat. I bounced the flash off the ceiling for this shot.

Nice pics. Kerry -- how do you like that flash? I'm thinking of getting one, or the next one down ($$$$).

I have a lot to learn about using the flash. I have hit the FAQ pages on the forums here and printed everything out so I can start reading it.

So far, I really like it. If you can afford it, go with the 580EX. I got mine at B&H for $380.
