how can i test a camera

Hi

outside making shoots , what can i do to make a test of my camera or in order to buy a Not new camera

for the sensor i'm able to detect if is clean or if there is dust inside

but for the rest?

what can i do?
is there a software that could help me?
i'm a dummy , Super novice

by the way , software outside (hot pixel) is there?

Not much software other than dead pixel test that you need.
Mostly visual inspection, but you have to follow the instructions for focus test.

Again thanks to Hermeto, this time for the link.

I had been wondering about hot/dead pixels and last night down-loaded and installed the testing software that is referenced in the link.

However, I had no idea how to use it until I read the referenced link which suggested; shutter speed at one second, ISO=100.

It came up with zero hot/dead pixels - what a relief. Thank you.
