Ok so here is the dillema, I am covering an FA Cup replay next Tuesday. The ground, as it is the homeground for me has ok lighting, and as I am only covering the home team I would normally sit between the goal and the corner flag. As I said the lights are ok, but not being quite Conference quality it is normally hard to impossible work for a 70-200 ( I find anyway).
I have a 300 that will probably be a little better but isn't ideal for goal mouth action where I would normally sit, so my plan was to use an old 200, 1.8 lens that I have, but I am not sure where to go to get the best shots. Move nearer the corner flag and I will get reasonable goal mouth action (if there is any for the outclassed home team!!) or go to the half way line for a percentage of midfield action shots...............What would you guys do?
Really would appreciate your opinions
