While Jon is thinking about the next non-competitive topic, here's one more noise to keep the thread warm.

Oh well, the writing has been on the wall for some time now, the thread has been rendered insipid and banal beyond redemption.....even Webby does not feel like participating any longer...nay, even Maria is not her usual acerbic self. Sadly, Connie, you've got no one to blame but yourself for this state of affairs since it is your posse that has been following you around. Granted, with Permian it's a different matter....that young woman will try to stick in a word edgewise as soon as she sees a crack in the armour anywhere on POTN.

Just about every thread I post in more than once has been declared insipid by one person or another. Am I doomed to forever posting 'Nice shot' whenever I see a train photo? How else can I avoid inflicting 'Belmondo's Curse' on otherwise healthy, thriving threads?

Don't answer for a few days. I leave for a 4-day trip this morning, and I will only be able to check in sporadically.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Oh, I want to participate but little things called work and family responsibility keep getting in the way.:lol:

Here's one just to hold the thread over...

I attribute this new state of affairs to the holidays. Everybody is distracted with things like family, shopping and turkey here in the states. I'm hoping this insipidness is a temporary state. It is quite annoying!

And no, dear Pet, this is not a call for you to try to singlehandedly rescue this snoozer! ...or perhaps unleashing "the beast" would be jusy the kick in the butt this thing needs! ;)

Okay Pete, your armor is safe. I'll leave you, Dave and your buddies to yourself. You can be insipid and banal at your leisure.

Things were sweet and mildly naughty, which is what the Posse enjoy, then Perm comes along, enmeshes Sari into her web of chatter, and we get Tupperware central, as if this is a garden fence for people with no mates to chew fat over  The Red Necked thread serves that purpose well as far as I'm concerned so why bring it here?

Nah big man ... you do a grand and daft job. We must look deeper than simply your bad karma. A daily shooting project is hard for most who have stuff to do like work and family, etc. and tupperware talk dilutes the good energies of shooters (rather than talkers). Things around the house will help as subject material :D

Exactly ... EJ has hit nail on head.

Yup, all that counts ... but we need some Inner Beast to manifest if we are to craic well. I think he and I have been rendered into smooth chinned eunochs by the moaning of a minority  Oh well, that's evolution.

Where is Marie whern we need her acceptable daftness?

Well done Marie you rescued us from open warfare, hand to hand combate manoevours and handbag fisty-cuffs. Thing is tho', I never seen none of that stuff when I been on safari, so what is going on? This an Irish safari shop or something?

Anyway ... where's that PeaFlicker guy with our next topic? I got an itchy shooting finger here that's all primed and ready to click ;) If he ain't posted when I wake up tomorrow then I'm gonna choose the next project ... unless some other ass steps in first and trumps me

Aight, I'll be the arse this time just to give us US folks a fair chance to play this evening. Sorry, PeaPicker...:)

The topic is SHADOWS, something we should all be able to come up with within the next 24 hours (or so)...

Thanks, PK. Looks as though the thread is dying a slow death, though. Despite my valiant efforts to save it. Oh, well, I can play by myself if I have to...

One from Thanksgiving Day - natural light reflecting off my mother-in-law's window. I just had to get my daughter to pose as if it were a spotlight ...
