I guess my husband got the hint lol :) He got me the Rebel XT. He got just the camera body and separately he got me 2 lenses (28-70mm F2.4-4 DG and 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro) What do you guys think? Is this good enough for me to start off?
If anyone read any of my previous posts, I am just starting this hobby and learning a lot, hopefully getting good to make it more than just a hobby... :D

Congrats on the new gear. You have 2 perfectly fine lenses to start with. Go out and shoot like crazy.

Congrats on your new Camera!!! I wish my insignificant other would that thoughtful.

Don't take this the wrong way, the 2 lens are iffy at best. The 18-55 would've done well as a starter lens and would've save some money and possibly gotten a 70-200f4 later down the line. But, they are usable. Use then around f/8 or higher to get sharper pics.

You have great tools to kick start you new hobby! Several people have said this, like anything we want to get good at, the best way to learn is through lots of practice. Enjoy yourself and look forward to some postings. ;)

Cheers,
LeBaron

WOW!! Sounds like you got a great start and I am sure you'll have a great time. Glad he got the hint. Now, if I could only get my SO to pick on my vibes. I have been sending ---Kenko tubes... Kenko tubes... but I might just get inner tubes.:)
