Money is all tied up in the trip and getting gifts for the loved ones, so forking up the cash for another camera as a back-up is out of the question right now. But I'm too lazy to sift through all the garbage that came up. Beer does that. Can't help with the rent question, but I admire the fact that you're heading to Africa. Big, wonderful (mostly) continent, with a few trouble spots.
