self portrait

Have to say, I like this, though this shot seems to break most of the photography principles: rule of thirds (main subject in the middle), out of focus (everything), low dynamic range (blown out parts) ... but the many layers - together with these (intentionally?) broken rules - makes this picture intersting! Could be a frame from film noir.

I also like this image very much. I do wish the subject was off center, but otherwise everything about the photo works together.

Um, Rule of Thirds is only one of a collection of classical compositions. Anyone ever heard of Vanishing Points?
Again, mastery - this is an image leaving us with wonder about place and person. You continually transcend craft. Which makes it art. On that level, the mystery I'm left with will have to be resolved. But you have left me with that problem.
