These were shot Saturday during the class 8A semi final round, Mt. Carmel (white and brown) at Linclon Way East (blue uniforms). LWE was 12-0 and MC was 11-1, great game MC pulled out a tough win and will be heading to the University of Illinois in Champaign to play for the state championship next Saturday. It was a beautiful night for a football game just cold. C&C appreciated and welcome. EXIF is embedded on some of them. I know some of these look oversharpened, but they've had very little sharpening if any at all. It's an artifical turf field

Great shots! Your timing is impeccable. I sure wish our team was heading to Champaign next Saturday, but that wasn't meant to be. Perhaps next year.

That new turf field looked fantastic on television Friday night!

I like the picture of the LWE QB sack, looks like he got pasted pretty hard.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the compliments everyone, that was one of the best games I have been to all season. Two very tough defenses so there wasn't a whole lot of offense. The LWE QB got drilled on that play and he was very slow getting up.

I had the wife tape the game since it was on TV, she record it but not on the DVDR because watchng her soaps was more important. She used an old crappy VCR so the tape wasn't that good.

Thanks Bruce - I can shot both days if I want but I think I am only going to shoot Saturday.

Thanks Superdiver - I agree with the tighter crop. I normally shoot with my 300 f4 but I just got my 70-200 2.8 the day before the game and I wanted to try it out.

Great as usual. I've not shot any sports since my college days (16 years ago). I've got a family portrait shoot 10/2, but I'm going to try to reschedule so I can go to my nieces (10yr old) first Basketball game and try to get some shots for her. Wish me luck.

If they turn out half as good as yours, they'll be great.
