Was it green in the original or was it modified? Canon 7dii with an EFs 17-55; EF 50 1.8; EF 70-200 f2.8L; and EF 300L

Nov 21, 2006 10:05 | #10 BillsBayou wrote in post #2294015 Interesting photo. I have to wonder "Why Green?" Green is the color of life. Green is flora. Green means "GO!" This is a dark scene of run down buildings and broken glass. Nothing here is alive. No flora. Nothing about the scene says "GO!" It's seems to be stopped. If the selective green were of a plant in a run down alley, then yes, go with green. In Photoshop I opened the photo and did a -50 on the Hue. At that point the color is beyond amber and headed into red. There's a blotch on the light that really picks up the effect and gives is a more ominous look. I'd post it, but you have "Image Editing" turned off in your user profile for POTN. I have done that already, personally I think the Green works better. It provokes imagination at least, and with Red the message is very clear.

More info | Nov 21, 2006 11:45 | #14 I like the red over the green. Green as hope doesn't work for me on this one because it is coming from a dirty light. The edit I did is more amber with red blotches. You'd have to see it to understand what I mean. Take only pictures, leave only footprints...
